Puzzle packs are curated collections of puzzles from top players, GMs, streamers, and YouTubers. They could be related to a specific event such as Title Tuesday, a chess tournament, or just a collection of puzzles from a specific player over a period of time. Themed puzzle packs are also available, for example, 'GMs are also human' puzzle pack features missed mates from top GMs.
Personalized puzzles are generated from games of a specific player. You can solve puzzles from your own games on chess.com or lichess.org, as well as from games of top players or popular streamers.
Both personalized puzzles and puzzle packs contain only games from 3+ minutes time controls. If you play only 'bullet' games, we won't analyze those games for puzzles.
When you add a player to your quick access (dashboard), it's a permanent choice, so choose wisely. Users have a limited number of slots for players and puzzle packs.
Without a subscription, you can access only 3 puzzles from a player or puzzle pack. With an Apprentice subscription, you can add up to 3 players to your dashboard, unlock puzzles from their latest 300 games, and unlock 3 puzzle packs per month. With an Expert subscription, you can add an unlimited number of players to your dashboard and unlock 10 puzzle packs per month. For more details see pricing.
Yes, some puzzle packs can be paid. The full amount of revenue (after tax and payment processing fees) from puzzle packs goes to the player whose puzzle pack you bought. If you cancel your subscription, you will still have access to the content you unlocked while you had an active subscription.
